There’s just something about golden hour in Austin, Texas. The way the sun catches in your hair, makes your skin glow, and turns even a quiet field into the most cinematic backdrop—it’s honestly magic.
Nicole’s senior session had all of that dreamy golden-hour magic and then some. We shot in an open, meadow-style field just outside the Austin Hill Country, and it was the perfect mix of soft light and peaceful vibes.
With wildflowers still hanging on and the evening sun doing its thing, May might just be my favorite time for senior portraits in Texas.
If you're searching for an Austin senior photographer who captures golden-hour portraits that feel relaxed, glowy, and totally you—let's make it happen ✨
Senior Session Prop Ideas!
Prop ideas for your next grad/portrait session to add personality:
Fresh flowers (Or Wildflower bouquet) – a small bouquet or flower crown adds a natural, fun touch
Graduation cap + stole + diploma – we love to mix these in at the end for a few classic “I did it” moments.
Champaign (To pop or to just hold, drink, and cheers)
An item that reflects your major. (Ex: A stethescope for medical-related fields)
Books, camera, or instrument – adds some pizazz.
A cozy blanket – sit on it, wrap up in it, or lay down in the grass for dreamy overhead shots.
Picnic basket + fruit
Vintage bicycle with a basket
Woven blanket or quilt
Balloons in school colors or “2025” foil numbers
Cowgirl/boy boots
Your pet! (I mean you can't go wrong with that)
