About me
Hi, I’m Jazz — an Austin-based photographer capturing natural, timeless, joy-filled moments.
I would describe my photo style as storytelling, romantic, and true-to-life — focused on raw emotion, real connection, and those candid in-between moments that bring photos to life.
My creative journey started at a public arts high school, where I fell in love with pottery, design, and photography. That spark led me to earn a degree in Graphic & UX Design from NC State. Since then, I’ve worked full-time as a UX designer while spending my free time capturing people and their stories through photography.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll likely find me on my yoga mat, at the pottery wheel, out in nature, or at a comedy show here in Austin.

Things I love

Fostering
I’m a big cat person, so I regularly foster cats from the Austin Humane Society. Watching them grow, get playful, and turn into tiny chaos machines is the best kind of joy. Fun fact: I have fostered over 20 cats in the past 2 years.
Green Smoothies, Pizza & Boba
Love all three. Best pizza in Austin? VIA 313, Allday and Home Slice, no question. And if you ask me to grab a drink, there’s a good chance I’ll assume (or hope) you mean either boba, smoothie, or coffee.
Photography
I’ve always been drawn to documenting life, the little moments, big milestones, and everything in between. Photography just gave me the perfect excuse to keep doing that, but in a more intentional way (and with better gear). I love being part of people’s special moments, telling beautiful stories, celebrating with them, and capturing the magic of it all.
Yoga
I completed my yoga teacher training in December 2020 and taught for a few years after that and loved it. These days, I’m not teaching regularly, but I still take classes when I can because I genuinely love the practice.
Pottery
I fell in love with ceramics back in high school, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Everything about throwing on the wheel is fun for me. I especially love making mugs for coffee and planters for plants.
Travel
One of my favorite things is trying new things and visiting new places. I just love exploring and going on spontaneous adventures.
